Privacy Policy
Information we store on your device
Salah saves your preferences — your selected emirate and your reminder settings — locally on your device using Android’s on-device storage. This information never leaves your phone, is not transmitted to us or anyone else, and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Network requests
To show prayer times, Salah fetches the published UAE timings for your selected
emirate over a secure (HTTPS) connection from Khaleej Times
(www.khaleejtimes.com). These requests contain only the name of the
emirate you chose. As with any request to any website, the receiving server can see
your device’s IP address; Salah does not send your name, contacts, account, or
precise location. Your use of Khaleej Times’ service is subject to their own privacy
practices.
Permissions and why we use them
- Internet / network state — to download prayer times and know when you’re online.
- Notifications — to show your optional prayer reminders on your device.
- Alarms & reminders / run after restart — to fire reminders at the correct prayer time and re-arm them after a reboot.
- Vibrate — so reminders can vibrate.
All notifications are generated locally on your device. No reminder data is sent anywhere.
Analytics, ads, and third parties
None. Salah contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers.
Children
Salah is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Data deletion
Because all data stays on your device, you can delete everything Salah stores simply by uninstalling the app.
